The altered reality you need to raise capital
How to bring investor's into your world
Greetings, Chief Storytelling Officers.
I want to explore a three-step process that will change the way investors perceive your ideas.
In this process you have to be able to create an alternative reality that makes investors say, “that's worth building”.
You might be thinking, “hold on, Robbie, are you taking me to The Matrix?”
Am I living in a different alternative reality?
Do I take the blue pill?
Or the red pill?
I'm not going to make you do any of that, but here's what I do want to help you do:
I want you to change the way investors see the world.
Envisioning a Bold Future
To capture the attention and imagination of investors, it is crucial to develop a compelling and ambitious vision of the future.
Take the time to clarify your grandest aspirations, vividly imagining what this future entails.
What does it look like, sound like, and feel like?
By creating a clear mental image, you can internalize and convey this vision effectively. Make it a habit to visualize your future reality before sleep and upon waking, allowing your mind to embrace the possibilities.
Conveying Passionate Conviction
Now that you have crystallized your vision, it's time to share it with others.
Engage with trusted individuals and communicate your story with unwavering passion. Push beyond your comfort zone, aiming to awaken others to the potential of your alternative reality. Remember, your goal is not to claim certainty, but to ignite curiosity and foster a sense of inevitability.
Through your unwavering conviction, others will sense the transformative power of your message.
Presenting the Altered Reality
Armed with a well-defined vision and unwavering conviction, it is time to approach potential investors.
In this critical step, transcend the boundaries of traditional storytelling.
Avoid getting lost in logical arguments, excessive product demonstrations, or overwhelming pitch decks.
Instead, present your future reality with a compelling mix of passion and expertise.
Consider yourself as a visionary, sharing insights that challenge existing perceptions and spark excitement about the possibilities. By altering their perspective, you open their minds to new realms of potential.
By following this three-step process—envisioning, conveying, and presenting—you will captivate investors and invite them to embrace your alternative reality. As their curiosity grows, they will seek to understand how your vision can be realized and its potential impact on various industries.
Their transformed perspective will inevitably lead to increased interest and investment in your venture.
